The Startup
Founded in 2008, the vision for Parametric Design, LLC was to provide engineering & business services to firms without the staff necessary to bring products to market. Our roots are as a startup doing everything from a garage stall required a working knowledge of a broad range of skills, which serve us well today.
Mercury Recycling Retorts
In the late 2000's we were instrumental in installation and maintenance of equipment Retorting Equipment in WI, IL, IN, TN and the United Kingdom, including management of external consultants, and 24/7 on-call troubleshooting. Through our partnership with Effective Energy Associates, this type of equipment is still available. See our Products page or contact us.
Perlite & Vermiculite
In the 2010s we oversaw the development of the RXN Flash™ Expander, Preheater, and Waste Heat Recovery processes. In addition to all engineering and fabrication, we managed or directly executed electrical panel layout/build, automation, thermodynamic analysis, as well as website and marketing content creation for Reaction Jets, LLC.
Development Work
For the last several years, in addition to machine design/build, we have completed research and development projects for a number of clients in markets such as rare earths, plastics, and minerals processing. These projects have resulted in advances in perlite microsphere production, rare earth recovery from recycled waste streams, and others.
